Hello World

I’m paraphrasing Nietzche here, who, although a poor philosopher, had still some insights as a writer.
For some time now a few acquaintances of me have been blogging and as I have started to comment more and more, I have discovered, that it’s good to have a place where you can rant and believe that “the world listens”.

My point however is not to create any immortal insights here, it’s to try and create on a regular basis something that’s fit to be published. Ultimately I’m not blogging for anyone else, I’m blogging for myself. I have made notes on various issues and written down thoughts for more than ten years now.

Why start now publishing them? Writing here, I hope to achieve following:

• Keep up and advance my writing skills in English. Producing texts that correspond to various requirements is what I do for living right now, so its important for me.
• Achieve focus and increase the ability of discursive thought. Currently my mind goes too often in all directions at once and I loose the other threads when I’m trying to focus on one of them. In the end I sit on a pile of unfinished thought lines which is of no use to anyone. In fact I had to abandon the first post I planned to make in this blog and several comments I intended to make in those of others – all because they became too unfocused and lost the main point I was trying to make. I have become a sloppy thinker and even sloppier at communicating my thoughts. Hope blogging will help.
• It is probable that my reasoning contains flaws that I’m unable to perceive myself. In order to keep developing your system of ideas further beyond a certain point, communication and criticism is necessary. This is something that just writing them down can’t give you.

All these goals are quite different, so my posts here will also vary a lot: from various thought flows to attempts on analysis, from criticism of classical and pop culture to, maybe, publication of some of my own work.
